We tasted over 14 different types of food, or possibly more, lost count! olive oils, honey, liquors, ice cream, meat pies, baklava, olives, cheeses, dips, meatballs, breads, Greek coffee with traditional cake, sorry can’t remember the name, and more! We visited the harbour area and the old town and Alma explained the history of the area as well as the history of the food we were eating. I highly recommend this tour and it’s great value for money. He was so knowledgable of the history of Crete we learnt so much, offered advice on how to get the most out of the day trip, we are so glad we booked this was well worth every penny, especially after the hotel we stayed at said it would be €700 😰 the walk to the falls was fun and beyond…”

On the tour, we sampled lots of delicious sweet and savoury food, drinks, and olive oils, many of which I hadn't heard of before. My favourite was the bougatsa - I actually went back to the stop the next day to eat it again! Our guide (I'm sorry I can't remember her name!) was also very funny and gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations for our time in Heraklion. Would definitely recommend.”

“Excellent wine tour. Two wineries. One very small, possibly the smallest I've visited anywhere. The other fairly commercial. Both good in their own way. Then the lunch at a shop/restaurant in Archanes. Tried around 16 wines. Most were to our liking, just a couple not. Pierre was an excellent guide, full of information about Cretan and other wines. Lunch was not huge, you'll probably want to eat again in the evening, if that is part of your value judgement. Overall, it was great to discover Cretan wines, we will look upon them favourably in future.”
