“Sara was an excellent host and very thoroughly explained everything we needed to know prior to arriving at the gorge. The bus does stop at a cafe before entering the gorge so you will have an opportunity to get a sando or snack bars. Sara’s instructions were very clear and easy to follow & she was extremely knowledgeable. She gave us recommended times to hit each major checkpoint to ensure everyone kept pace within a manageable timeframe. The hike is almost entirely downhill and there are some extremely steep and slippery slopes. It is manageable if you are prepared.m: you absolutely need hiking boots w ankle support or sneakers with…”

“Bring good hiking shoes, only 1 refillable bottle of water required. It’s a long hike! We feel helmets are unnecessary, but hiking poles could be a lifesaver depending on your fitness level and footwear. Our guide Dimitrius was great. He bandaged up my daughter after her fall, gave his hiking poles and some electrolytes to my mother. He made sure we were safe the entire hike. It was a very long day. We were picked up in Chania at 6am and returned at 8:30pm. It was definitely an adventure! Great tour!”

“Excellent experience. Miki, our guide, has great knowledge about Crete and has a very good sense of humor. Kosta, our driver, clearly has great experience on the winding, mountainous roads in Crete. Everything went smoothly and on time. We were picked up from our apartment, taken to the bus and after the trip back to the apartment. 5 stars. thank you so much”

“This made for a very long day, but was so, so worth it! The gorge itself was absolutely beautiful, and the early start was great, as it felt cool when the trail began, with lots of shade for the first half, but became quite hot by the end. The beautiful flowers, wild thyme, rugged rock, clear water, and little wooden bridges were breathtaking at every turn. The terrain definitely tests your ankles, and once you are out of the gorge itself, there is still a 2 km walk to the beach. However, we were very glad to have done it. Our 15, 14, and 10 year old kids said they’d…”

“Pick-up, transport, and return transport all went very smoothly. The tour guide, Pari, was knowledgeable and very friendly. We arrived at the sea after about four hours, at around 12:15 p.m. The meeting point for the whole group was at 4:00 p.m. at Rousios to get the ferry tickets. So we had something to eat and then went swimming in the sea. After this meeting at 4:00 p.m., everyone was informed that they had the next 1.5 hours free until the ferry departed. So we had to wait again. Then there was the return trip to the starting point by bus. We just want to say that if you are…”
